    7. Perform short bursts of intense activity such as walking for 1 minute then sprinting for 1 minute.
    8. Avoid trans-fats.
    9. Weight training – Every pound of muscle gained increases your metabolism 30 percent.
    10. Stretch every hour.
    11. Eat a big breakfast but a light dinner. Keep the food rich in protein and iron. Protein is the main tissue builder in the body. Iron is an essential mineral required for transporting oxygen to tissues throughout the body.
    12. Stress less – Stress and anxiety can interfere with the efficiency of metabolism process.
    13. Drink coffee – Coffee and other caffeinated drinks have been found to stimulate metabolism. Make sure you do not drink too much coffee as it can make it difficult to sleep and cause irregular heart beats.
    14. Try some spice – Eating spicy foods increase the body’s production of heat and promote the activity of the sympathetic nervous system. Chili peppers contain bio-active chemicals called capsaicin. Capsacin increases energy expenditure by 50 calories a day.
    15. Make sure you get enough Magnesium. Magnesium is a mineral used by 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Green leafy vegetables like spinach, soybeans and legumes can provide you with enough magnesium for a metabolism boost.

    Great list: short and to the point. Increasing the body’s ability to burn fat is the key to achieving and maintaining am optimal weight. I know for sure that green tea is very effective at flushing fat cells from the body, I drink it almost daily.

    Thank’s for the tips. I can handle all of them except the burpees lol I hate those! On a serious note, I agree with a low carb diet and magnesium!

    GREAT read. People do not realize how important magnesium for loosing weight and just in general! It helps relieve muscle pain, cramping and makes you feel relaxed. Love the water and CAFFEINE! Caffeine is not the devil when consumed in moderation. It actually helps get things moving!

    Thanks for the tips. I’m really trying to up my water intake; it can be difficult sometimes. I’ve never been a HUGE drinker, so it’s not just that it’s water and not something else. lol

    Thanks for the tips! I’m so lazy that just the thought of doing exercise tires me out. I drink green tea and a lot of water, so I guess that counts.
